I suspect rather that The League, The Begloved, The Covered Hand, etc, need further extrapolation in order to clear this matter up. I guess I should transcribe my notes on the subject, if only to further clarity what has apparently become a matter no small mystery.

I'd venture to say the Unseen Hand isn't gnomic activity, but very obviously associated with Gloved Ones -- whose hands, by def, are unseen.
